Product Manager - Mobile App & Digital Lending (On-site)
Summary
Product Manager to own Handy Finance's new customer mobile app end-to-end — vision, MVP, launch and roadmap — plus drive improvements to its online loan application, customer portal and partner portals. On-site in Sydney at a fintech personal lender; needs 4+ years in product management, ideally in fintech/lending.
About Handy Finance
Are you an ambitious product manager who wants to build something from the ground up and see it make a real difference to a business?
Handy Finance (formerly known as OurMoneyMarket) exists to make money simple. We're a leading Australian fintech that's been named in the AFR Fast 100 for the past five years running and has won Canstar's Outstanding Value for Personal Loans four years running. As we continue to grow, we're building the next generation of digital products to make borrowing and managing money even simpler for our customers.
About the role
We're looking for a high-performing, ambitious Product Manager to lead the design, build and launch of our new mobile app.
The app is a big step forward for Handy Finance. It will give customers a far better way to interact with us and manage their loans in one place, and it opens the door to new services that go beyond the loan itself. You'll shape what it becomes: setting the product vision, deciding what makes the first release, and building the roadmap for what comes next.
You'll also drive continuous improvement across our existing online application form, customer portal and partner portals, making it ever simpler for customers to get a loan with Handy Finance.
You'll work closely with our design team, engineers and executive management, with the ownership to make a real impact on how customers experience Handy Finance.
What you'll do
Own the mobile app from discovery through to launch, defining the vision, scope, MVP and post-launch roadmap.
Partner with our in-house designers to turn customer insights into intuitive, well-tested user journeys.
Work closely with engineering to clarify requirements, shape solutions and keep delivery on track.
Drive ongoing improvements to our online loan application form, customer portal and partner portals, with a focus on conversion, completion rates and customer experience.
Use customer research, feedback, data and market trends to validate ideas and prioritise what we build next.
Maintain a clear, prioritised roadmap and backlog that balances customer needs, commercial outcomes and compliance requirements.
Set and track success metrics for each digital product, and use the results to drive continuous improvement.
Keep stakeholders across Technology, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Credit informed and aligned on priorities, progress and timelines.
Plan and coordinate launches with Marketing and Operations, including app store releases and customer communications.
What you'll bring
4+ years' experience in product management, ideally in fintech, lending or credit.
A passion for building exceptional digital products that deliver both customer value and business growth.
Experience launching a mobile app, taking it from concept through to release.
A strong grasp of user-centred design, and experience working closely with designers and engineers in an agile environment.
A data-driven approach, comfortable using analytics, funnel data and experimentation to make decisions.
Strong organisational skills. You're highly organised and able to juggle multiple products and priorities while keeping work on track and deadlines met.
Sound commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise ruthlessly.
A self-starter mindset: you take ownership and see things through.
Excellent communication skills, able to bring technical and non-technical stakeholders along with you.
Familiarity with Australian consumer lending regulation is a plus, but not essential.
Full working rights in Australia.
What we offer
A competitive salary to reward the very best.
The chance to own and launch a flagship product from the ground up.
A collaborative, respectful and fun team culture where you'll work closely with executive management.
A broad spectrum of challenging work on which to showcase your skills.
A place where you can make a huge impact.
This is a full-time role based in our Sydney office.
If this sounds like your ideal next role, we'd love to hear from you. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of Handy Finance and helping us make money simple!
