Our client, an Australian Government regulator at the forefront of Australia's carbon reduction efforts, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive strategic product initiatives and agency-wide transformation outcome.

Duties of the Product Manager

  • Identify and manage specialist‑related risk, in the context of more complex activities and issues;
  • Provide strategic direction to a work area, including developing business plans, strategies and priorities and monitor workflow and performance;
  • Support the implementation of initiatives within the change program;
  • Maintain a backlog of ideas and collaborate with other Product Managers to prioritize opportunities;
  • Lead discovery and epic refinement to identify solutions (both IT and non‑IT);
  • Empower and support Product Owners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strategic and outcome focused thinking;
  • Cross functional leadership and team enablement;
  • Able to interpret data, assess options, and make sound, timely recommendations;
  • User centred discovery skills;
  • Understand system and data flows, engage effectively with technical teams and understand system, data, and architectural implications of decisions;
  • Candidate must prove a suitable level of capability.
