This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager - Risk Compliance based in the United States.
As a Product Manager, you will help shape and scale key areas of a technology platform supporting complex research and compliance workflows. You will connect customer needs, business objectives, and product development, ensuring that solutions deliver meaningful and measurable value. Working across engineering, design, sales, marketing, implementation, customer success, and support, you will help translate real-world challenges into clear product priorities. You will engage directly with customers to understand their workflows, uncover underlying needs, and identify opportunities for product improvement. Accountabilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of customer workflows, business needs, challenges, and product requirements through direct engagement with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to product strategy, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and ongoing product planning activities.
- Participate in customer discovery sessions, requirements discussions, product demonstrations, feedback meetings, and other customer-facing activities.
- Analyze customer requests to identify the underlying problems and distinguish individual feature requests from broader product opportunities.
- Partner with engineering, design, quality assurance, implementation, customer success, support, sales, and other cross-functional teams to drive effective product delivery.
- Translate customer and business requirements into clear product documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, and development requirements.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, product reviews, testing, release planning, and launch activities.
- Help ensure delivered functionality addresses agreed customer needs, business objectives, and product requirements.
- Build productive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, acting as a reliable connection between users and product teams.
- Communicate product requirements, priorities, decisions, progress, and trade-offs clearly and professionally.
- Help manage stakeholder expectations around product capabilities, priorities, scope, and delivery timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve established or legacy products while balancing customer needs, technical considerations, and business priorities.
- 3–5 years of experience in product management or a closely related product-focused role.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments and collaborating effectively across distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, sales, marketing, support, and other stakeholders.
- Strong curiosity and analytical thinking, with the ability to ask effective questions, understand complex problems, and translate user and business needs into actionable product solutions.
- Experience working with established, mature, or legacy software products and an understanding of the considerations involved in evolving existing platforms.
- Familiarity with product management and development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or comparable platforms.
- Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, databases, software development concepts, or other technical fundamentals.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain product decisions and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
- Interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with curiosity about how they can be applied to enterprise software and customer workflows.
- Experience or knowledge in research compliance is helpful but not required; the ability to learn a complex domain and turn that knowledge into thoughtful product decisions is more important.
