Product Manager - Senior

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (Senior / Leader level) to drive end-to-end product strategy, delivery, and execution for large-scale IT initiatives. The role requires strong leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical delivery, and customer outcomes using Agile (Scrum) methodologies.

The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product vision, managing priorities, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision and strategy aligned with business goals
  
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps (now, near, future)
  
• Prioritize and manage product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders
  
• Establish and track KPIs, success metrics, and product performance indicators
  
• Lead release planning and decide product shipment timelines
  
• Conduct customer discovery and user research to validate requirements
  
• Identify and mitigate product risks, dependencies, and issues early
  
• Translate business needs into user stories, features, and product requirements
  
• Ensure continuous delivery of product enhancements using Agile/Scrum
  
• Communicate effectively with executives, stakeholders, and delivery teams
  
• Provide status reporting, executive summaries, and steering committee updates
  
• Drive product adoption, improvements, and success measurement

• Product vision and roadmap (short-term, mid-term, long-term)
  
• Product strategy including target users, value proposition, and problem statements
  
• User research insights and customer discovery findings
  
• Product backlog with clearly defined user stories
  
• KPI dashboards and success measurement frameworks
  
• Product status reports and executive-level communications
  
• Risk assessment and mitigation plans
  
• Product release plans and MVP evolution strategy

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

Relationship Management

• Strong communication and mediation skills with business and technical teams
  
• Proven ability in team building and consensus management
  
• Experience managing resistance to change across product lifecycle stages (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)
  
• Ability to align stakeholders and maintain delivery momentum
  

Product Management, Risk & Delivery

• 10+ years of Product Management experience in IT/digital environments
  
• Strong experience in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  
• Ability to prioritize issues at senior executive level
  
• Experience building and maintaining product roadmaps
  
• Hands-on experience working with Agile (Scrum) teams
  
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, UX Designers, and Developers
  
• Strong reporting experience for senior stakeholders and steering committees
  

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
  
• Experience with collaboration tools:

• Jira / Azure DevOps / Trello
  
• Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive
  
• Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience required
  
• Agile (Scrum) delivery experience is mandatory
  
• Scrum Master experience is considered an asset
  
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced enterprise environment
  
• OPS (Ontario Public Sector) experience is an asset
