Product Manager
[What the role is]
The successful candidate will manage a specific business domain within the Learning & Skills portfolio, driving detailed requirements, domain backlog refinement, user validation and delivery support in alignment with the overall product roadmap.[What you will be working on]
- Manage and maintain the backlog for the assigned domain, including defining, refining and prioritising domain features and enhancements in line with overall product priorities.
- Work closely with institution domain leads to gather, clarify and refine business requirements, translating them into user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Engage domain stakeholders across Institutes of Higher Learning to gather and refine requirements, and surface conflicts or gaps for resolution through the Lead Product Manager.
- Work with vendor delivery teams to clarify requirements, support sprint activities and validate that delivered capabilities meet business needs.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers and the Lead Product Manager to manage dependencies, resolve overlaps and ensure consistency across domains.
- Support UAT and validation activities by ensuring business scenarios are covered, coordinating with institution Subject Matter Experts and validating delivered features.
- Gather user feedback, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and feed these into backlog prioritisation and roadmap discussions.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of requirements, backlog items, acceptance criteria and domain scope.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Education, Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis, digital transformation or enterprise application delivery.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing and translating business requirements into functional solutions and product requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or iterative product delivery methodologies.
- Experience in Continuing Education and Training (CET), lifelong learning, education technology, learner management systems or related domains will be an advantage.
