We are a subscription management platform (b2b SaaS) for fast-growing brands on Shopify and WooCommerce. Our Autoship Cloud for Shopify App and Autoship Cloud for Woo plugin are powered by our QPilot platform and API. We're fully bootstrapped and have traction with true product-market fit in an exciting category of ecommerce: subscriptions for delivered goods or, as we call it: Autoship.
Our mission: shape the future of subscription deliveries by being the Autoship solution fast-growing subscription brands rely on.
The role You'd be our first Product Manager. The founder has been running product directly with a small team of engineers & QA and an AI-enabled operating system: documented prioritization cadences, a written decision-rights framework that defines what you decide alone from day one, and an AI-augmented workflow layer that already handles much of the artifact production PMs usually drown in. In other words, the right PM spends little time on status updates, and we're counting on you to close decisions and own outcomes.
You'll own delivery for our product lines (Shopify and WooCommerce) end-to-end: sequencing what engineers build next, turning shaped ideas into dev-ready briefs, running our weekly triage and refinement cadences, and working closely with our CS and founder on merchant/customer engagement and feature adoption: our team has developed a strong practice of observing account growth with feature adoption and you be driving these metrics with us!
Why Florianópolis: While our team is remote-first, the founder lives here, and this role is built for regular in-person work (~2–3 days a week at a co-working space). This enables faster onboarding and direct access to how product decisions actually get made, and build the trust that makes real ownership transfer possible. The rest of the week is yours to structure; the whole team is remote-first and distributed.
What success looks like in 90 days
- No engineer waits more than a day on a product decision within your scope
- Weekly triage and refinement cadences run without the founder in the room
- Both product lines are demonstrably healthy: throughput steady, changelogs current, nothing going stale
- Recurring merchant touchpoints are coordinated with you and CS — updates ship on your cadence, merchant feedback is prioritized, and merchant engagement is always increasing
You're probably a fit if
- You translate what customers ask for into what they actually need — and build the simplest thing that solves it
- You know when a 20-minute call beats three days of async, and when to decline a meeting entirely
- You've worked with small or early-stage teams before
- You've designed and improved MCP's that improve observability of product usage and align with KPI's
- You make the reversible call today instead of queueing it for the founder, and escalate the irreversible one without being asked
- You'll tell a founder they're wrong, and can argue with examples and proof-of-concepts
- You treat AI as leverage: you'd rather generate a working prototype in 20 minutes to force a decision than schedule a design review — and you can challenge and improve an existing prototype the same way
- You've delivered a metric to a customer that got worse since the last report, and you told them straight
- Fluent English (our working language across a distributed team); our team is based in the US and has english, spanish, and portuguese native speakers alike.
Nice to have's
- Subscription commerce or ecommerce platform experience (billing cycles, churn cohorts, app-store constraints)
- API-first product experience — where the API governs integrations with shopping carts, payment gateways, shipping carriers
- Time at a bootstrapped or small/early-stage startup
How to apply Check out our company culture doc (link below) and reply with a brief example (2–3 sentences is good) of how one of our core values showed up in your own work experience.
We'd also love to hear about an important feature or change that you led from design to adoption — bonus points for ecommerce or subscription-related examples!
