Product Manager - Surveying & Mapping Drone
Description
Responsibilities
-
Know your customers. You spend time with survey and mapping teams in the field. You learn how they work, how they buy, what else they could use and what they still can’t do.
-
Set the priorities. You weigh customer value, market opportunity, development effort, price and margin. Then you make a clear call on what comes next.
-
Test ideas early. You try them with customers and engineers, learn fast and adjust.
-
Shape the product development. You steer the capture platform: aircraft, sensors, workflows and data deliverables. You make the performance, reliability and usability trade-offs together with engineering.
-
Take it to market. You launch with Product Marketing, Sales, Support and partners and explain why the product matters. After launch you stay close to field results and keep supporting the product through its lifecycle.
-
Follow the outcomes. You track customer outcomes, usage and commercial results. You use what you learn to pick the next problem to solve with the team.
Requirements
-
You have a taste for great products and a relentless drive to understand what makes users love them.
-
You make things happen. You act like an owner and hold yourself accountable to outcomes not output. You care primarily about happy customers and a successful business.
You bring people with you. You listen closely, speak clearly and earn trust with customers and engineers, including when you disagree. -
You find a way forward. You are very comfortable with ambiguity. You work constructively with people and constraints, know when to push and when to adapt.
-
You’ve spent 3+ years developing or deploying hardware products and their software workflows, with clear ownership of product, operational or commercial results.
-
You have a technical background in engineering, geospatial or another technical field.
-
You’re commercially fluent. You read a pricing model, channel margin or renewal term and see why the business cares.
-
You’re fluent in English and happy to travel regularly to customers and partners in the US and Europe.
Plus
-
You’ve founded a relevant business of your own, led surveying or drone operations, or built products for geospatial customers.
-
You have hands-on experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR or bringing a commercial robotics product to market.
