Product Manager Tax

You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered tax products. You will automate tax calculation, validation, reporting, and filing across financial products, expand Stack into tax automation for CPA workflows, translate tax rules into scalable capabilities, and build reliable AI systems with evaluation methods, controls, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for tax products
• Build tax automation across Cards, Bill Pay, Banking, and other workflows
• Expand Stack into tax automation
• Translate manual tax workflows into product opportunities
• Ship reliable AI systems with evaluation methods and human controls
• Design explainable and auditable products
• Translate tax rules into scalable product and data capabilities
• Lead execution with engineers and designers
• Drive cross-functional alignment on launch readiness

Requirements

• BA/BS in a technical or analytical field
• Minimum 5 years of product management or adjacent product-building experience
• Strong expertise in tax, accounting, or finance
• Strong product judgment and first-principles thinking
• Hands-on experience building AI features, prototypes, or side projects
• Understanding of AI evaluation, retrieval, latency, cost, safety, and accuracy tradeoffs
• Experience building trusted products with explainability and auditability
• Comfort with Figma, Git, Claude Code, and Cursor
• Fluency with experimentation and product metrics
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Experience with tax calculation, compliance, reporting, or filing products
