About the Opportunity

A leading consumer products company is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support a high-visibility Product

Lifecycle Management (PLM) Data Transformation initiative. This role will help improve product data quality, modernize product hierarchy structures, and establish a foundation for future digital and AI-enabled business capabilities.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Planning

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify challenges, opportunities, and future-state needs related to product data and lifecycle processes.
• Translate business objectives into actionable requirements, features, and priorities.
• Support product roadmap development and strategic planning.
• Evaluate business value, dependencies, and impacts across functional teams.
• Ensure initiatives align with long-term business objectives.

Requirements Gathering & Discovery

• Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Document business requirements, workflows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create clear documentation supporting solution design and implementation efforts.
• Help prioritize work based on business value and strategic impact.

Product Data Transformation

• Support product data auditing, cleanup, restructuring, and governance initiatives.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and usability across systems.
• Assist in defining and implementing new product hierarchy structures and taxonomy models.
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate existing data attributes and future-state requirements.
• Support implementation of enhanced product information management capabilities.

Product Execution

• Collaborate with program managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver initiatives.
• Participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning activities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities throughout project execution.
• Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and provide measurable value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build strong relationships across Product, Merchandising, Marketing, Data Governance, and Technology teams.
• Facilitate alignment and effective decision-making.
• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, actionable communications.
• Create presentations, business cases, and project updates.
• Clearly communicate priorities, goals, and outcomes.
• Support leadership communications related to key initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting retail, consumer products, product development, merchandising, or similar industries.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and evolving environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) experience.
• Experience with FlexPLM or similar PLM platforms.
• Product data governance, master data management, or data quality experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of retail product lifecycle processes from concept through commercialization.
• Experience working with both business and technical teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
