Summary
Transmax (creator of the STREAMS intelligent transport platform) seeks a hands-on Product Manager for a 12-month max-term, full-time hybrid role in Milton, Brisbane. Day to day: own and prioritise the backlog, run discovery workshops, and act as the link between business stakeholders and an agile dev team building the next-gen cloud-based traffic management platform.

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager to translate product and project objectives into clear, actionable outcomes for an agile development team.
Working closely with product, project, design and development specialists, you’ll combine product ownership, business analysis and agile delivery to ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, traceable and successfully delivered.
You’ll be the key link between business stakeholders, the project delivery team and the development team, helping everyone stay aligned on priorities, requirements and delivery outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring work is aligned to business priorities and delivery goals.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria and business solutions.
- Lead workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder engagement activities to gather and refine requirements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, designers and delivery teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and release activities.
- Monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate updates to stakeholders while continuously improving delivery practices.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst or similar agile delivery professional.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog management and user story development.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and agile delivery tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and relationship management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
It would be great if you also have…
- Experience working in complex projects, programs or large-scale delivery environments.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements traceability and governance frameworks.
- Experience in transport technology, Intelligent Transport Systems, government or similarly complex industries.
- Agile, Scrum Product Owner or Product Management certification.
