The Product Manager – Digital MRV for Nature-based Solutions defines and executes TÜV SÜD's digital MRV product strategy, translating climate, regulatory, and market requirements into scalable solutions. The role leads the full product lifecycle from strategy and discovery through delivery and market adoption, while championing customer and ecosystem needs. It also drives stakeholder engagement and partnerships to strengthen TÜV SÜD's position as a leader in digital carbon verification and NbS assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Digital MRV (dMRV) solutions supporting Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
  • Translate business, climate, and verification requirements into scalable digital products aligned with TÜV SÜD and SustainCERT objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis, customer discovery, and user research to identify needs, opportunities, and product priorities.
  • Establish product goals, success metrics, and KPIs, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and product evolution.
  • Collaborate with UX, engineering, data science, and domain experts to develop user-centric solutions and validate product concepts.
  • Lead requirements gathering, workflow design, backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and release management across product initiatives.
  • Ensure product designs incorporate security, compliance, scalability, auditability, and integration requirements.
  • Partner with methodology, verification, and audit teams to digitize verification processes, data models, evidence management, and compliance workflows.
  • Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve verification efficiency, audit optimization, and decision support capabilities.
  • Establish governance frameworks for AI and automation, ensuring transparency, validation, monitoring, and appropriate human oversight.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with carbon market stakeholders, registries, policymakers, research institutions, and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives, leveraging data, automation, and experimentation to enhance operational efficiency, product adoption, and market impact.

Key Requirement

  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience in certification, assurance, compliance, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, climate science, carbon markets, carbon accounting, MRV, and verification processes.
  • Proven ability to define product strategy, develop roadmaps, and deliver complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong customer discovery, user research, and requirements-gathering capabilities.
  • Experience translating complex regulatory or domain requirements into product strategies and technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated success working with engineering, design, operations, and business teams in agile environments.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, analytics, and SQL to inform product decisions.
  • Good technical understanding of system architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and data flows.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across diverse teams and partners.
  • High integrity, strong problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to sustainability and climate action.
