Description

Role: Product Manager - US Time & Workforce Management

Location: United States, Remote

Darwinbox is the fastest-growing HR technology platform, designing the future of work by building the world's best HR tech, driven by a fierce focus on employee experience and customer success, and continuous, iterative innovation. We are the preferred choice of 1,400+ global enterprises to manage their 4.5 million+ employees across 130+ countries.

Darwinbox's new-age HCM suite competes with local as well as global players in the enterprise technology space (such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday). The firm has acquired notable customers ranging from large conglomerates to unicorn start-ups: DP World, Masafi, DIFC, Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, Nivea, Starbucks, Swiggy, DLF, Crisil, CRED, Vedanta, Mahindra, Glenmark, Gokongwei Group, Mitra Adiperkasa, EFS Facilities Management, VNG Corporation, and many more.

Our vision of building a world-class product company from Asia is backed by marquee global investors like Microsoft, Salesforce, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

About the Role

You will own what Darwinbox does for US hourly workforces: timekeeping, overtime and compliance, multiple jobs and rates, shift differentials and premiums, scheduling, and the hand-off of time into pay. This is not a generic HRMS product role. We need domain depth and architecture-level product thinking in the same person: someone who has built Time & Attendance or Workforce Management product for enterprise HCM customers, understands the US market, and can earn the trust of US Sales and Pre-Sales leadership as well as senior Product and Engineering leaders.

Roughly 80% of your scope is Time & Workforce Management. The remaining 20% is payroll: the source-to-gross integration and the payroll consequences of time decisions, owned jointly with the Product Manager for US Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the US Time & WFM roadmap: Shape the next generation of US Time capability. Translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap, detailed requirements, and prototypes. Weigh value against effort and the long-term cost of maintaining a capability across hundreds of clients.

• Be the authority on US hourly-workforce rules: FLSA overtime and regular rate of pay, including how differentials and premiums enter it; state overtime and meal and rest break rules; predictive scheduling and fair workweek ordinances; and union agreement rules. Track regulatory change and turn it into product ahead of effective dates.

• Design for complex hourly scenarios: Multiple jobs and rates, blended overtime, shift differentials and premiums, scheduling, retroactive changes, and approvals. Turn repeated client asks into configurable capabilities rather than one-client fixes.

• Own time-to-pay / source-to-gross: Define how time data reaches payroll: calculated earnings, overtime breakdown, rate mapping, retro adjustments, and reconciliation, jointly with the US Payroll Product Manager.

• Think in platforms: Map each change's impact across payroll, scheduling, absence, mobile, permissions, reporting, and integrations, and decide what belongs in the core platform and what stays configurable.

• Be the US Time voice in the field: Work with US Sales and Pre-Sales on demos, RFPs, and positioning. Run prospect and customer conversations independently, say clearly what the product supports today and what must be built, and support implementations and go-lives.

• Ship, measure, and enable: Work with engineering through build, QA, and release; track adoption after launch; use AI tools daily to research, write requirements, and prototype; and act as subject matter expert for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

Qualifications

• Enterprise HCM product experience: You have built product, not only configured it, for US Time & Attendance, Timekeeping, Workforce Management, or Scheduling at an enterprise HCM, WFM, or payroll product company, with significant US hourly-workforce exposure.

• Domain depth: Deep working knowledge of FLSA and overtime compliance, multiple jobs and rates, shift differentials and premiums, scheduling, and complex hourly-worker scenarios. You can name the non-obvious rules and edge cases and explain why systems are designed the way they are.

• Time-to-pay understanding: Working knowledge of source-to-gross integration and how time decisions land in payroll. Direct payroll product exposure is a strong plus.

• Architecture and product thinking: Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and system dependencies with engineers, and experienced in designing capabilities that scale across many clients, including things you chose not to build and why.

• US market and customer-facing: Strong understanding of the US market and its customers, and a track record of running conversations with customers, prospects, and sales leadership independently and earning their trust.

• AI fluency: Hands-on use of AI tools in your product work, with a concrete method for verifying their output.

Benefits

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance plan, 401(k), and paid time off.

• Flexible work arrangements (remote within the U.S.).

• Professional growth and international career opportunities within a fast-scaling global organization.
