We are looking for a Product Manager to help shape and deliver digital services that make a real difference to the people and businesses we serve. You will be part of a high-performing team driving digital transformation, building innovative and user-centric products from the ground up while ensuring the reliable operation of existing platforms. This is a hands-on role that spans the full product lifecycle — from strategy and development through to operations and continuous improvement.

What you will be working on:
Product Strategy and Vision
  • Work with product owners and business partners to establish a clear product vision for new initiatives, define mission statements, and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and outreach plans to drive product adoption.
Product Development and Operations
  • Design, test, and iterate through experiments to improve user journeys for new products whilst maintaining operational excellence for existing digital platforms.
  • Manage product budgets, develop workplans with product teams, and procure necessary resources including software, hardware, and professional services.
  • Ensure continuous service availability and performance optimisation for live products.
Insight-Driven Product Management
  • Leverage user research, analytics, and operational data to inform product decisions and enhance user experiences.
  • Implement frameworks for tracking product performance and translate insights into actionable improvements and measurable business value.
Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure products meet relevant quality, performance, and compliance standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with technical and governance teams to address risks and embed best practices from development through to live operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Translate product strategy into actionable technical plans for business and vendor teams.
  • Coordinate efforts across functions including marketing, legal, and finance.
  • Support developers in exploring emerging tools and techniques whilst maintaining the stability of production systems.
Growth and Maintenance
  • Drive user adoption for new features through increased engagement whilst ensuring reliable service delivery for existing users.
  • Build networks with key stakeholders and partner teams for collaboration opportunities.
  • Participate in public-facing activities to raise product awareness.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, updates, and incident response for live products.
Project Management and Governance
  • Run efficient stakeholder meetings, prioritise and track deliverables for both new developments and operational tasks, and document key decisions.
  • Manage service level agreements and operational metrics, and ensure products meet internal policy and governance requirements.
What we are looking for:
Essential requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in product management, IT business analysis, or application solution design
  • At least 3 years working directly with engineers, designers, and product managers
  • Experience managing both product development and operational maintenance
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and work effectively with stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with modern product development practices including Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Development
  • Experience in service operations, incident management, and maintaining live digital services
  • Relevant certifications such as CITPM, COMIT, PMP, or Certified Scrum Master
  • Government or regulated sector experience
  • Proven track record of delivering results within defined timeframes whilst maintaining service reliability
