Product Manager

Summary

Own digital products from strategy to delivery, collaborating with design and engineering teams to solve complex business challenges for clients.

Waracle are looking for a Mid-Level Product Manager for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

We champion modern, balanced working and offer a hybrid setup, asking you to collaborate in person 2 days a week from either our Glasgow or Dundee offices.

Are you passionate about shaping digital products that make a real difference? As a Product Manager at Waracle, you will take ownership of exciting digital workstreams, collaborating closely with brilliant engineering, design, and delivery teams to bring impactful ideas to life.

You won't be doing this alone—from day one, you’ll be welcomed into our supportive Product Community of Practice. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor, guided through a personalised onboarding plan, and given access to clear pathways for career growth. If you thrive in a collaborative, learning-focused environment where your ideas are valued and your growth is championed, this is the place for you.

As a Product Manager, your day-to-day focus will include:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Owning the vision and direction for product features, defining scope, and using both data and user insights to understand the market landscape.

  • Discovery & Execution: Leading collaborative discovery work alongside Design and Tech Leads to turn complex challenges into clear, actionable user stories.

  • Backlog & Roadmap Management: Balancing user needs, business goals, and delivery effort to keep a well-prioritized, high-quality product backlog.

  • Data-Informed Decisions: Establishing metrics and running experiments to guide choices backed by evidence and real user behavior.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong, trusting relationships with client stakeholders, communicating progress and risks transparently, and supporting your team.

  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Facilitating workshops and working side-by-side with researchers, designers, and engineers to deliver clear, meaningful outcomes.

  • Practice & Community Contribution: Participating in our internal Bet Teams, community sessions, and continuous learning initiatives to grow your craft and support the community.

What You'll Bring

We value curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. You don’t need to tick every single box to be a great fit, but we are looking for:

  • Product & Delivery Experience: A background in product management or digital product delivery, with a strong care for the craft of user story creation and backlog care.

  • Agile Understanding: Familiarity with agile principles and prioritisation techniques (such as MoSCoW or RICE).

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together.

  • Data & Curiosity: A healthy curiosity for metrics, testing hypotheses, and using data to inform decisions.

  • Growth Mindset: A proactive, self-directed approach to learning, with the confidence to ask questions and take ownership of your personal development.

  • Industry Context (Bonus): Experience working within regulated sectors (like healthcare or financial services) is a plus, but certainly not essential!
