Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Product Marketing Engineer – Core BU - is responsible for providing technical application expertise, pre-release product support and execution of new product datasheets for various RF devices such as filters, couplers, mixers, etc. This role focuses on meeting the short and mid-term demands of Mini-Circuits’ target customers in core markets and applications through technical engagement while working closely with cross-disciplinary teams. Additionally, this individual will develop application demonstrators, application notes and white papers in partnership with product marketing and marketing communications teams.

In addition, the Product Marketing Engineer serves as the primary technical interface between customers, product management, and engineering teams during opportunity qualification and project initiation. The role ensures customer requirements are accurately captured, technically validated, and translated into clear engineering specifications to reduce development risk, accelerate project execution, and improve first-pass design success.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

Job Function:

  • Work directly with Product Marketing members to assess gaps in technical support material to drive new RF filter design model and customer success.
  • Assist in creating application notes, white papers, and other technical documentation to support product marketing efforts.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of datasheets during generation to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to update and refine datasheets based on market feedback and new product insights.
  • Provide technical support for pre-release products, including testing, troubleshooting and resolving customer requests.
  • Provide technical feedback and application insights to product marketing for product improvements to drive roadmap development.
  • Design and develop application demonstration hardware to highlight product and application knowledge to customer base.
  • Support technical discussions directly with customers to ensure alignment on technical requirements prior to simulation/modeling/prototype build.
  • Support the internal technical and management team in validating the business case for potential opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and training sessions for sales teams and customers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, test, sales, and marketing communications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members, which exemplifying the core company values at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ related experience in the RF/Microwave industry or other hi-tech industry related to telecommunications, electronics, machine automation, or controls systems in the Telecommunications, Aerospace and Defense, Test and Measurement, or Broadband industries working with RF filter designs.
  • Strong technical background with experience in RF products.
  • Ability to work independently in the lab.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Conduct business on “off hours” to accommodate global customers as needed.
  • Must possess a polished and professional image.

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and engineering teams during opportunity qualification and project initiation.
  • Engage directly with customer engineering teams to capture, clarify, and validate technical requirements before project authorization.
  • Review customer requirements for technical feasibility, manufacturability, testability, cost implications, and alignment with existing product capabilities.
  • Translate customer needs into clear, measurable, and actionable engineering specifications.
  • Identify requirement gaps, ambiguities, inconsistencies, assumptions, and technical risks; drive timely resolution prior to project approval.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and conference calls with customers to evaluate engineering tradeoffs and maintain opportunity momentum.
  • Develop and maintain standardized requirement capture templates, specification review checklists, and technical qualification processes.
  • Support opportunity qualification by balancing customer requirements, engineering constraints, manufacturing capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Participate in project intake reviews and provide recommendations regarding technical scope, risk, and execution readiness.
  • Occasional travel, some overnight, as required
