Discussion

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Marketing Lead based in the United States.

The Product Marketing Lead will shape the positioning and go-to-market strategy for an enterprise event technology platform serving complex event portfolios across in-person, virtual, webinar, and field experiences. This high-impact role combines product storytelling, competitive strategy, product launches, sales enablement, and analyst relations. You will translate sophisticated platform capabilities, including emerging AI-powered and agentic features, into clear value propositions for enterprise buyers. Working closely with Product, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing, you will help strengthen competitive performance and accelerate customer adoption. Reporting directly to the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, you will have significant ownership and the autonomy to build, test, and improve marketing programs. The environment rewards initiative, excellent writing, practical AI adoption, and the ability to deliver measurable results without relying on a large team.

Accountabilities:

You will lead product marketing across positioning, launches, competitive intelligence, sales readiness, and customer engagement, ensuring that the product’s value is clearly communicated throughout the buyer and customer journey. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own positioning and messaging: Develop and maintain compelling messaging for the event experience platform, translating AI-powered and agentic capabilities into clear, evidence-based value propositions for enterprise event leaders. Ensure consistency across marketing channels, sales conversations, and customer communications.

  • Lead go-to-market launches: Partner with Product to understand product strategy and development priorities, then manage launches end to end, including messaging, launch planning, input on pricing and packaging, sales readiness, and customer communications.

  • Strengthen competitive strategy: Monitor established event management platforms and emerging point solutions. Develop practical battlecards, discovery questions, objection-handling guidance, and competitive intelligence that help sales teams win deals. Conduct win/loss analyses to continuously improve positioning and sales effectiveness.

  • Drive sales enablement: Create sales narratives, demo storylines, one-pagers, RFP content, and other field resources. Work with Sales and Solutions leadership to train teams and ensure new product capabilities are effectively presented and sold.

  • Manage analyst relations: Own day-to-day relationships with Forrester and Gartner, coordinate briefings and evaluation submissions, and strengthen the company’s presence on review platforms such as G2, TrustRadius, Capterra, and Gartner Peer Insights.

  • Build customer proof points: Collaborate with Account Management to develop case studies, customer reference programs, and measurable evidence supporting product claims and demonstrating business value.

  • Increase product adoption: Partner with Account Management to encourage existing customers to use new capabilities through release communications, targeted programs, relevant content, and executive business reviews.

  • Maintain the product marketing knowledge base: Keep messaging, product information, and competitive intelligence accurate and accessible, including the knowledge that powers internal AI tools and workflows. Use AI to automate repetitive go-to-market activities and improve operational efficiency.

  • Deliver measurable results: During the first 90 days, develop a clear understanding of why the company wins and loses, refresh competitive materials, take ownership of analyst evaluation activities, and deliver an end-to-end launch. Within the first year, help improve competitive win rates, establish consistent launch practices, strengthen analyst and review-site positioning, and maintain trusted messaging for employees and AI agents.

  • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B SaaS product marketer who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, strong commercial judgment, and a practical approach to AI-enabled work. Required and preferred qualifications include:

    • At least five years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, selling to mid-market and enterprise buyers, including experience as a lead or sole product marketer.

    • Demonstrated ability to position complex platforms for both business and technical audiences and compete successfully against established market leaders.

    • An AI-native approach to work, with experience using AI agents—ideally Claude—to automate practical go-to-market workflows and examples of solutions you have built.

    • Strong sales enablement skills, including the ability to develop compelling narratives and useful sales materials, train field teams, and measure whether those resources are being adopted.

    • Hands-on analyst relations experience, ideally including participation in a Forrester Wave or Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluation.

    • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to make complex product concepts clear, specific, and persuasive without resorting to generic messaging.

    • Ability to work independently, set priorities, move quickly, and deliver results in an environment with limited layers and a lean team structure.

    • Preferred: Experience with Claude Cowork, Claude Skills, or similar agentic tools in everyday work.

    • Preferred: Background in event technology, marketing technology, or another platform serving marketing teams.

    • Preferred: Experience marketing AI-first or agentic products to enterprise customers.

    • Preferred: Experience developing value propositions for multiple stakeholder groups, such as organizers, attendees, and sponsors.

    • Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Gong, including the ability to retrieve and analyze data directly from these platforms.

    • Benefits:

      • Annual salary: $100,000–$150,000, as stated in the source posting under New York pay transparency requirements.

      • Comprehensive insurance options with employer premium coverage.

      • Generous paid time-off benefits.

      • Quarterly mental health days to support employee well-being.

      • Quarterly team-building events designed to strengthen collaboration and workplace connections.

      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.

      • Equity program.

      • Paid parental leave.

      • Sabbatical leave on milestone work anniversaries.

      • An opportunity to shape product marketing strategy, influence competitive performance, and work closely with senior leadership.

      • A collaborative, AI-forward environment that encourages experimentation, workflow automation, and independent execution.
