Product Owner
The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and driving product enhancements and solutions that support Agora Data’s business objectives and user needs. This role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand problems and opportunities, translate needs into clear requirements, prioritize development work, and ensure solutions are successfully delivered.
The Product Owner serves as a key connection between stakeholders and development teams throughout the product lifecycle—from identifying a need or opportunity through requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and continued improvement.
Success in this role requires strong business judgment, an understanding of product and development processes, and the ability to translate complex needs into actionable requirements while balancing business value, user impact, technical considerations, dependencies, and available resources.
What You’ll Do
- Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, product priorities, dependencies, and technical considerations.
- Translate product goals, business needs, and user feedback into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with product leadership and business stakeholders to understand problems, define desired outcomes, and determine product priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of clarification for development teams throughout the development process.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other Agile development activities.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve questions, address blockers, and make timely product decisions.
- Review completed work against defined acceptance criteria and confirm that delivered functionality meets the intended requirements.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, including gathering stakeholder feedback and identifying necessary adjustments.
- Prioritize defects, enhancements, new functionality, and technical work within the product backlog.
- Communicate product priorities, development progress, risks, dependencies, and changes to appropriate stakeholders.
- Support release planning and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure readiness for new features and functionality.
- Gather and evaluate customer, user, stakeholder, and performance feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Make informed trade-off decisions when priorities, timelines, resources, or technical constraints compete.
- Maintain clear product documentation and ensure requirements, decisions, and acceptance criteria remain current throughout development.
- Continuously evaluate delivered functionality and recommend improvements based on user needs, business value, and product performance.
