Product Owner – Digital & Construction Technologies
Job Summary
The Product Owner is responsible for the tactical execution and delivery of digital construction solutions. Working directly with software development teams, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders, this role translates strategic roadmaps into detailed technical requirements, owns and refines the product backlog, and drives sprint execution. The Product Owner ensures that delivered capabilities meet business goals, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Product Backlog Ownership & Refinement
Own, maintain, and prioritize the team’s product backlog to ensure work aligns with delivery capacity, dependencies, and business value.
Lead backlog grooming and refinement sessions with IT engineers, technical leads, and business subject matter experts.
Make timely, daily decisions regarding scope, solution options, and acceptance criteria to maintain team velocity.
Requirements & User Story Management
Gather business requirements from Product Managers and stakeholders, converting them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Validate technical solution designs alongside IT architecture teams to ensure alignment with operational needs.
Manage scope changes, evaluate their impact on sprint timelines and resources, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
Agile Delivery & Technical Collaboration
Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Function as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the engineering and QA teams, clarifying requirements and removing blockers.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate features prior to release to guarantee high quality and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst in a digital product environment.
Deep experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Hands-on experience writing concise user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing functional scope.
Background in construction technology, IoT, or enterprise asset management tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented execution capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proven track record of collaborating across IT and business teams.
