Product Owner - Drones Team

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking an accountable manager for our Drones team to fill a position during parental leave. The ideal candidate will hold overall responsibility for compliance with EU and national regulations governing UAS operations. This role demands a proactive leader who ensures operations meet safety standards while supporting the organizational objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Hold overall accountability for regulatory compliance, safety performance, and the well-being of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with EU, EASA, and national regulations while maintaining safety standards.
• Nominate key operational managers and ensure they can fulfill their duties effectively.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures while improving existing safety guidelines.
• Maintain the Operations Manual and submit updates for approval to authorities.
• Notify authorities of organizational changes or ceasing operations.
• Monitor personnel compliance and provide necessary operational information.
• Oversee training programs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments with relevant stakeholders.
• Report non-compliance issues and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Act as the primary liaison with national authorities regarding UAS operations.

Key Requirements:

• Holder of a valid Specific Category remote pilot certificate.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EASA regulations and applicable national drone regulations.
• Solid understanding of aviation theory and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership skills and completion of recognized courses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and application knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Other Details:

This position is temporary, with an expected start date of September 28, 2026, and an end date of April 30, 2027. This role is crucial for maintaining operational integrity and compliance in the UAS sector.
