Job Description
Product Owner – Finance Systems & Projects About the position
We are looking for a Product Owner to act as a bridge between the Finance and Technology departments, ensuring the stability, evolution, and continuous improvement of the organization's financial systems.
This professional will be responsible for leading the management of demands, incidents, and systemic improvements, ensuring a rapid response to business needs, as well as driving strategic projects for the transformation and automation of financial processes.
The position requires strong interaction with stakeholders from various finance areas, the ability to prioritize in dynamic environments, and the skill to translate business needs into efficient technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities Financial Systems Support
- Act as the functional owner for finance systems, ensuring their continuous operation and adherence to business needs.
- Manage and prioritize demands, incidents, and critical issues, ensuring appropriate handling within defined SLAs.
- Conduct root cause analyses and coordinate action plans to mitigate recurrences.
- Act as the primary point of contact between business areas and IT teams for support-related topics.
- Evaluate the impacts of systemic changes on financial and operational processes.
- Perform continuous monitoring of system health, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Business Relationship Management
- Maintain a close and constant relationship with Finance departments.
- Conduct recurring meetings for alignment, prioritization, and tracking of demands.
- Gather requirements, map processes, and translate business needs for technical teams.
- Ensure clear and permanent communication between stakeholders, key users, and technology teams.
Project Management
- Lead projects for systemic evolution, automation, and digital transformation for financial areas.
- Coordinate activities from scope definition to production deployment.
- Prepare schedules, action plans, risk analyses, and track deliverables.
- Conduct project ceremonies and executive status meetings.
- Support testing, validation, training, and change management processes.
Backlog Management and Prioritization
- Keep the backlog of improvements and demands updated and prioritized.
- Define prioritization criteria considering financial impact, regulatory risks, user experience, and business value.
- Work alongside development teams to refine requirements and track deliverables.
Qualifications
Knowledge of key financial processes, including:
- Billing
- Accounts Receivable
- Revenue Recognition
- Collections and payment applications
- Financial and accounting controls
- Advanced English mandatory
Systems and Tools
- Backlog management (Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
- Documentation tools (Confluence or similar)
- Power BI and AI (desirable)
- Experience with ERP, financial systems, and integrations

- Participation in implementation or transformation projects for financial systems.
