Product Owner Locker.OS
GLS/NXT Product Owner Locker.OS
We are looking for a Product Owner at GLS/NXT to drive a new product pillar's roadmap within the out-of-home (OOH) Platform, serving our international GLS markets and partner ecosystem. In this role, you will translate the strategy for the Locker.OS pillar into a clear, prioritized backlog, define requirements, and work hand-in-hand with engineering and design to ship the right things in the right order.
Locker.OS is a GLS/NXT initiative to build a standardized, scalable, and secure software stack that powers GLS parcel lockers.
You are accountable for delivery of your pillar: you own the backlog end to end, make the day-to-day decisions that keep engineering unblocked, and turn stakeholder feedback into concrete, well-scoped work bringing structure and clarity in close partnership with the engineering team.
You will also work closely with the support team, so that complex problems are resolved and recurring themes feed back into product discovery. As part of the GLS/NXT OOH Team, you will drive sprint planning, reviews, and other team rituals for your pillar.
This role is perfect for someone who is structured, curious, and motivated by building great products, comfortable prioritizing under real-world constraints and turning user and stakeholder insights into meaningful improvements, while making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Tasks
- Drive delivery of the roadmap for one product pillar of our OOH parcel locker platform, translating strategic priorities into a clear, prioritized backlog
- Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements, keeping the backlog refined and ready for delivery
- Prioritize work by balancing user needs, business value, technical constraints, and stakeholder input, and communicate those trade-offs transparently
- Partner closely with engineers and designers to deliver against the roadmap, resolving ambiguity and making the day-to-day product decisions that keep delivery moving
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and other agile rituals for your product pillar
- Translate stakeholder and market feedback into structured, actionable product insights for product discovery
- Collaborate with customer support to ensure complex issues are resolved and recurring patterns feed back into your backlog
- Track and report key product metrics for your pillar, surfacing trends and insights that inform prioritization and roadmap decisions
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, workflows, known issues, and product decisions
Requirements
What you bring
- >4 years of experience in product management/ownership, integration, implementation or technical project management in B2B
- Experience owning a backlog and writing clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria within agile software delivery (sprint planning, backlog refinement, product rituals)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a structured approach to problem-solving and prioritization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and cultures
- A low-ego, hands-on mentality with a strong bias for getting things done, and curiosity for trying new tools and approaches, including AI, to improve how we work
- Fundamental understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, system architecture, or digital platform products
- Business-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Valid working permit for Germany
Nice to have
- Experience with products that combine hardware and software, for example connected devices, IoT, or embedded systems.
- Previous experience in logistics is a plus
- German language skills are welcome but not required
- Comfort working with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar project tracking tools
Even if you do not meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply if you believe you are well-suited for the role and can contribute meaningfully to our team.
