Owns merchant-acquiring product strategy, translates customer needs into functional specs, and collaborates with engineering to deliver competitive payment solutions.
The opportunity
As a Lead - Products and Solutions, you will be primarily responsible for merchant acquiring products. You will understand business requirements from customers and create functional documentation covering the product solutions that will be offered to them.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Lead the merchant acquiring products strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct detailed business requirement analysis and develop comprehensive functional documentation.
- Facilitate requirement elicitation sessions, gathering both explicit and implicit needs from stakeholders.
- Define project scope, assumptions, and constraints, followed by releasing the scope document for stakeholder review and sign-off.
- Identify and prioritize product enhancement opportunities to maintain competitive advantage.
- Manage product demonstrations and presentations, effectively communicating solutions to customers.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Sales team to provide insights for proposals and RFP responses.
- Develop and maintain standard product offerings with a focus on long-term vision and market competition.
- Evaluate product feature gaps against competitors and clients' expectations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to gather inputs on proposed solutions and required efforts.
Who are we looking for
- Around 5+ years of experience in Product Management and Business Analyst positions.
- Experience in the Fintech/Payment Card Industry is a must.
- Experience in the merchant acquiring domain is preferred.
- Knowledge of scheme mandates will be an added advantage, with awareness of compliance and regulatory practices in the payment domain.
- Ability to understand implicit and explicit requirements.
- Strong capability to convert customer requirements into product solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute successfully.
- A dedicated team player who is both self-directed and willing to multi-task on various projects.
