As a Senior Software Product Owner, you will be the primary leader and decision-maker for the product development lifecycle. You will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, building and leading a high-performing product team while also defining, refining, and implementing workflows, processes, and best practices to support product development. In this role, you will manage cross-functional teams, work closely with stakeholders, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap, working closely with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, working directly with engineering, design, and business teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide the product team, including business analysts, junior product owners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing product culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) to ensure efficient communication and alignment.

Hands-on Product Ownership:

  • Take ownership of critical product features and ensure they meet user needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, define user stories, and ensure that the final product delivers value to end-users.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team stays focused on high-priority tasks and delivers results.

Process & Workflow Improvement:

  • Design and implement efficient workflows and processes to streamline product development, ensuring optimal team performance and minimizing bottlenecks.
  • Establish best practices for product management, including documentation, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Continuously assess and improve product development processes, identifying areas for automation, efficiency, and improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, engineering, and design teams, ensuring clear communication and transparency.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from users, stakeholders, and team members to drive product improvements and optimizations.
  • Balance business requirements, customer needs, and technical constraints to make informed product decisions.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and guide future decisions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive products, and user feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead post-launch analysis to identify product performance, user satisfaction, and potential areas for future releases.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a product management role, with at least 2 years in a Senior Product Owner or similar leadership position, ideally in a software/technology company.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and hands-on experience in Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management from ideation to delivery and beyond.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to build processes, workflows, and structure within a growing product organization.
  • Excellent ability to balance business needs, customer demands, and technical feasibility.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comfortable working with development teams, understanding technical concepts, and able to translate them into clear product requirements.
