Product Owner
Summary
Product Owner for Quantios's eFileConnect AEOI product suite, managing the backlog, writing user stories, and facilitating Agile ceremonies to deliver regulatory compliance software (CRS/FATCA) for trust and corporate services.
Quantios is a leading provider of software solutions for the trust administration and corporate services industry. With over 30 years of experience, we empower our clients with innovative technology that enhances governance, operations, and investment on a global scale. At Quantios, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where creativity, learning, and collaboration drive success.
As a Product Owner at Quantios, you will work closely with the Senior Product Manager and delivery teams to define and deliver features that meet user, business, and regulatory needs. This role sits at the heart of our eFileConnect (eFC) AEOI product suite, requiring deep engagement with the regulatory landscape — particularly CRS and FATCA — as well as direct involvement with customers to shape a product that keeps pace with evolving compliance requirements. You will articulate requirements, maintain and prioritise the backlog, and ensure consistent and valuable delivery of software enhancements. This is a hands-on Agile role requiring strong analytical thinking, regulatory curiosity, and the confidence to engage with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define and articulate features aligned to product release plans.
- Gather and analyse requirements through techniques such as workshops, interviews, and wireframing.
- Translate product requirements into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Own and manage the team backlog, ensuring it is prioritised and refined in line with delivery capacity and value.
- Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions with the delivery team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Support verification of delivered features to confirm they meet business and user expectations.
- Capture feedback from internal and external users and use it to inform continuous iteration and improvement.
- Act as a key liaison between development teams, product management, and operational stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing feature demonstrations, documentation, and release support activities.
- · Contribute to internal knowledge bases and help champion product awareness across teams.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of AEOI regulatory frameworks — with particular focus on CRS (including Schema v3.0) and FATCA — demonstrating a clear and proactive approach to staying current with evolving requirements and jurisdictional guidance.
- Engage directly with customers to gather voice-of-the-customer insight, supporting discovery activities and translating real-world compliance challenges into well-evidenced product requirements.
- Bring an informed and independent point of view to roadmap discussions, drawing on regulatory horizon-scanning and customer feedback to advocate for the right delivery priorities — including where that requires influencing decisions across product, engineering, and commercial teams.
- Support internal teams and customers during key AEOI reporting season periods, acting as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for product and regulatory queries.
- Apply knowledge across the broader regulatory landscape relevant to our customer base, extending beyond AEOI where required to support adjacent compliance needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role.
- Solid understanding of Agile practices and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working with delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in enterprise software environments serving regulated financial services industries is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AEOI obligations (CRS and/or FATCA), or a demonstrable aptitude and commitment to developing deep regulatory expertise quickly; candidates should be prepared to articulate how they would approach building this knowledge.
