Product Owner
- Own and groom a backlog spanning enrollment, claims, reconciliation, payments, and reporting for a rebate program that lowers pet medication costs at checkout
- Translate high-level product strategy into development-ready user stories in partnership with engineering
- Triage production issues and clinic-reported claim discrepancies
- Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for each release
- Map how transaction and claims data flows from clinic systems through the data warehouse into the reconciliation engine, and write requirements that hold up against real-world data
- Track core program metrics (e.g. auto-approval rate, claim volume, manual review load, payment throughput) to guide prioritization
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
- Set sprint goals and scope to ensure a demoable increment each cycle
- Gather feedback from clinics and customer-facing teams to shape pre-development requirements
- Prepare sprint updates, plans, and documentation for stakeholders across customer experience, operations, marketing, data, and design
- Represent the team in partner-facing meetings as needed
- Unblock the team by coordinating with cross-functional colleagues or running lightweight research
- Write user stories and finalize functional specs to support product enablement
- Validate use cases and feasibility through demos with internal experts and stakeholders
- 3-5 years of experience in digital product roles such as Product Owner or Product Manager
- Experience managing product backlogs and delivering features in Agile environments
- Deep knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Proficiency with collaboration and knowledge-management tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Atlassian suite, internal knowledge bases)
- Experience working within cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and data analytics
- Ability to translate business goals into clear user stories and solution definitions
- Ability to read data flows and write requirements that hold up against imperfect upstream data
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ability to balance technical constraints with user needs and business goals
- A proactive, empathetic, and resourceful approach, with a proven track record of pushing for company-wide process improvements and following through on complex challenges
- Deep understanding of customer lifecycle strategies and how incentive or rebate programs drive behavior, including eligibility rules and redemption mechanics
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

- Experience with consumer incentive, rebate, or membership programs
- Experience supporting programs with external partner or vendor stakeholders
- Familiarity with SQL
- Bachelor's Degree
