Product Owner
[About the role]
We are seeking a passionate and outcome-driven Product Owner to shape and execute the strategy for ProtoPie’s evolving product portfolio. In this role, you will define the vision and roadmap across both ProtoPie and new product initiatives, driving user-centric innovations from concept to deployment.
The ideal candidate combines strong product sense with the technical literacy needed to collaborate closely with engineering teams. You will own key success metrics, deeply understand user needs, and make strategic prioritization decisions that balance customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
By expanding ProtoPie’s ecosystem and launching new strategic initiatives, you will contribute directly to our mission of empowering teams to create, test, and share interactive experiences seamlessly across devices and environments.
[Responsibilities]
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision and roadmap for product initiatives, driving seamless collaboration, sharing, and testing workflows aligned with the company’s overall strategy.
- Product Requirements & Prioritization: Translate user needs, market insights, and business opportunities into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product & engineering teams.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing new feature development, UX enhancements, reliability, technical debt, and scalable architecture.
- Feature Delivery & Iteration: Lead the end-to-end delivery of product features, continuously evaluating performance and driving rapid iteration based on data analytics and customer feedback.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers on feasibility and trade-offs, architecture decisions, and implementation details, while collaborating with UX, Sales, and Marketing to deliver impactful product experiences.
- Product Enablement: Serve as the primary product expert for internal stakeholders (i.e. Sales, Marketing) regarding the capabilities and limitations of products.
[Qualifications]
Must
- 5+ years of product management experience in a technical field (PO, PM, Founder role), or transitioning into product management from an engineering/development background.
- Excellent communications skills in Korean & English (verbal and in writing), capable of discussing complex technical details with engineers and translating them for non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and system architecture, with proven ability to translate product vision into detailed technical specifications and manage a technical product backlog.
- Proven success operating a commercial service with a large, active user base, owning reliability, performance, and data-driven iteration using relevant tools (SQL, analytics platforms, etc.).
- Track record of shipping releases through a full Go-To-Market process — positioning, pricing/packaging input, launch readiness across Sales/Marketing/Support, and post-launch performance review.
Plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience as a software engineer, solutions architect, or in a similar hands-on technical role.
- First-hand experience working in design and prototyping tools or a similar domain, with a deep understanding of the UX design & prototyping domain in a technically complex B2B Enterprise SaaS context.
- Hands-on experience with platform-integrated services such as authentication (SSO/OAuth/SAML, SCIM) and payments/billing (subscriptions, in-app purchase, PG), including the technical and compliance trade-offs involved.
- Strong understanding and curiosity to learn more about the technologies as it relates to design/prototyping authoring as well as Enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with technologies relevant to ProtoPie's technical stack, such as graphics rendering APIs, real-time communication protocols (e.g., WebSockets, , MQTT), JavaScript frameworks, cross-platform development tools.
