Product Owner

Summary

Owns and prioritizes features for a software product, collaborating with teams to deliver value to end users.

About the position

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with a strong cybersecurity background, who will drive product development in a highly technical environment. In this role, you will act as a bridge between Product Management, Security domain experts and Engineering teams, ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are translated into high-quality product features. This is not a pure delivery role – we are looking for someone who understands security concepts and can actively shape the product.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria)

  • Translate cybersecurity requirements into actionable development tasks

  • Prioritize backlog based on business value, risk and security impact

  • Work closely with: Engineering teams (backend, cloud, security), Product Management, (client side) Security experts / architects

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, demo)

  • Ensure alignment with product roadmap and security strategy

  • Define and track product KPIs (e.g. detection efficiency, automation rate)

  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in an international environment

  • Meeting with customers to present new functionalities, get feedback and understand customer's needs

  • Own and coordinate product release and patching process

  • Prepare Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), functional specifications and other product documentation

  • Work closely with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements definition to production release

Requirements

  • English at an advanced level - minimum C1

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager/Product or Solution Architect/Lead Engineer in the software industry

  • Hands-on experience in cybersecurity domain (min. 2 years)

  • Hands-on experience working in a DevOps environment, with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, software delivery processes and release management

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams, with a practical understanding of modern software development practices

  • Innovative by nature. Thinking out of the box. Proactive, highly motivated with a serious work ethic

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proven technical skills and self-learning ability. Capability to thoroughly understand the functional and technical aspects of a complex system

  • Proven Agile experience and management skill

  • Ability to translate technical and security requirements into product features

  • Experience in writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), functional specifications and detailed product requirements

  • Ability to break down complex technical problems into well-defined epics, user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Ability to understand software architecture and communicate effectively with software engineers on technical topics

  • Experience working with cloud-native products and distributed systems will be considered a strong advantage
