Gofive

Product Owner (Welcome New Grads)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pursue the product relentlessly. Spend real time studying our products, our competitors, and the market. Don't wait to be told what's broken or what's missing — go find it. Develop a point of view, back it up, and fight for it.

  • Live inside the customer's world. Talk to customers constantly. Sit in on sales calls. Read support tickets. Run interviews. Understand not just what users say they want, but what they actually need — and bring those insights back sharp enough to change what we build.

  • Own the product vision end-to-end. You're not executing someone else's ideas. You research, synthesize, propose, debate, and decide. You take full ownership of outcomes — not just outputs.

  • Build prototypes yourself. Don't wait for someone else to make your idea tangible. Sketch it, wireframe it, prototype it — fast and good enough to test. Move ideas out of your head and into something people can react to.

  • Drive AI-first thinking. Every product decision carries the question: how does AI make this genuinely better for our users? Not as a feature to check off — as a real force multiplier.

  • Get everyone on board. Bring developers, designers, sales, customer success, and leadership into the vision. Explain the why behind every decision with clarity and conviction. Make people believe in what you're building.

  • Iterate without ego. Ship. Learn. Throw away what isn't working. Do it again, better. You treat every release as a conversation with your users, not a finish line.

  • Obsess over every detail. The micro-copy. The three-click flow that should be one. The first-time user experience. Nothing is too small if it shapes how a customer feels. We have an eye for every detail at Gofive — and so will you.

  • Do whatever it takes. There is no "that's not my job" here. If the product needs it, you find a way. You pick up what's dropped, you fill the gaps, you go the extra mile without being asked. The product's success is your success — and you feel that in your bones.

We care far less about your resume than about how you think and how you operate. This role is open to candidates from any background — product, design, engineering, business, customer success, or none of the above — as long as you bring the right fundamentals.

What we're looking for:

  • Relentless curiosity — you study products, markets, and customers not because someone asked you to, but because you genuinely can't stop

  • Self-driven and hungry — you don't need to be told what to do next; you see what needs doing and you go do it

  • Extreme ownership — you treat every outcome as yours, even when it's hard, even when it's inconvenient

  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can operate in a fast-moving environment where the path isn't always clear and that energizes you, not paralyzes you

  • A natural communicator — you can make complex ideas simple and bring a room full of different stakeholders to the same page

  • Data curiosity — you ask questions of numbers, not just accept them; you dig, hypothesize, and let evidence challenge your assumptions

  • Empathy for users — you feel genuinely bothered when something is hard to use, and genuinely satisfied when you make it better

Nice to have — but never required:

  • Prior experience in product management, UX, or a technical role

  • Familiarity with agile / scrum environments

  • Exposure to AI tools or AI-integrated product thinking

  • Experience in SaaS, B2B software, HR tech, or CRM

  • Ability to prototype in Figma or no-code tools
