About the role

The Pandemonium Institute (TPI) is the publisher of the cult social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower, played by a passionate and growing community around the world. TPI is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with an expanding roadmap spanning physical products, digital experiences, localisation, licensing, merchandise and other emerging opportunities.

We are now looking for our first dedicated Product & Portfolio Manager to help bring that roadmap to life. This is a hands-on product delivery role for someone who is great at turning creative concepts and business opportunities into clear plans, priorities and delivered outcomes. Working closely with Blood on the Clocktower creator Steven Medway, our leadership team and colleagues across Australia and the UK, you will sit at the centre of TPI’s product lifecycle, coordinating Creative, Digital Development, Localisation, Product Activation, Marketing, Supply Chain and external partners.

You won’t be expected to invent the next game. Your value will come from bringing the structure, prioritisation, commercial thinking and follow-through required to move products from an approved concept through development, launch and ongoing lifecycle management.

The underlying role is designed to act as the central conduit across TPI’s physical and digital product portfolio, providing clear visibility of priorities, dependencies, progress and performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage TPI’s integrated physical and digital product roadmap, priorities and lifecycle.

  • Take approved product concepts and opportunities through planning, development, launch, performance review and ongoing evolution.

  • Translate creative concepts into clear product requirements, plans, milestones and success measures.

  • Coordinate multiple workstreams across Creative, Digital Development, Localisation, Product Activation, Marketing & Community, Licensing and Supply Chain.

  • Set priorities across competing product initiatives and help ensure resources remain focused on agreed business priorities.

  • Manage the physical product portfolio, including new products, expansions, editions, localisation requirements and product extensions.

  • Coordinate the digital product roadmap, including features, enhancements and customer experience priorities.

  • Work closely with technical leads, gaming houses, media and licencing partners to balance product requirements with technical feasibility, effort and risk.

  • Lead end-to-end product launch readiness, ensuring teams and partners are aligned on requirements, timing, dependencies and go-live criteria.

  • Support product business cases, pricing recommendations and commercial decision-making.

  • Manage external development, production, UI/UX and specialist partners.

  • Monitor product performance and use customer, community and commercial insights to inform future priorities.

  • Establish practical product governance and reporting so priorities, risks, decisions and product status are visible across the business.

  • Lead a small, specialised team.

About you

We’re looking for someone who loves making things happen. You may already be working as a Product Manager, Product Operations Manager or Portfolio Manager, or you could be an experienced Project Manager with strong exposure to product development and delivery.

You will be comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial environment where there can be multiple opportunities competing for attention. You’ll know how to bring clarity to complexity, build an achievable plan and keep people moving towards delivery.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Strong product, portfolio or complex project management experience.

  • Experience taking products or significant initiatives through development, launch and lifecycle.

  • Strong planning, prioritisation and stakeholder management capability.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Commercial awareness, including exposure to budgets, business cases, pricing or product performance.

  • Confidence working with creative, technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Experience across both physical and digital products would be highly regarded.

  • Experience within gaming (table top games), consumer products, publishing, entertainment, technology or another creative industry would be an advantage.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.

  • Product Management, Agile, Project Management or Portfolio Management certification would be advantageous, but is not essential.

About TPI

The Pandemonium Institute is the publisher of Blood on the Clocktower, a globally played social deduction game with an incredibly passionate community of players, storytellers and fans.

We are a small, international and highly creative business, with team members based across Australia and the UK.

As the Blood on the Clocktower universe continues to grow, TPI is building the structure and capability required to support an increasingly diverse portfolio of physical and digital products and new commercial opportunities.

Joining us now means becoming part of that next stage. As our first Product & Portfolio Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish how product planning and delivery works across TPI and work closely with the people responsible for creating and growing Blood on the Clocktower.

How we work

This role will be primarily remote, however you will need to be based in Sydney or within easy travelling distance.

You will work closely with Steven Medway and frequent face-to-face working sessions in Sydney CBD will be an important part of the role.

You will also collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the UK and other international markets, so some flexibility around time zones will be required.
