What you’ll be doing...
You will be joining Verizon Business Product Organization as a Program and Project Senior Manager on the Portfolio Management team. You will be supporting the Product Commercialization Process (PCPr), responsible for ensuring success and coordination of work across stakeholders and partners throughout product commercialization. You will lead and support the Product Commercialization Processes by working alongside Product Owners through each stage of the process, ensuring the project is moving in an efficient and productive manner, and providing assurance that projects follow applicable standards, requirements, and guidelines. You will identify and proactively create solutions through various projects and business dynamics to support the delivery of product readiness.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of projects that align to the Product Organizations’ top priorities with a primary focus on the AI Connect portfolio. You will be a subject matter expert on the Product Commercialization Process, workflow, and applicable systems and tools, supporting Product Owners and business stakeholders. You will work through challenges by independently researching potential solutions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find alternatives. You will re-enforce processes, Verizon's Corporate Policy Statements (CPS), SOX Audit requirements and uphold the Verizon Credo while working through a matrixed and diverse corporate environment. You will work with all levels of management, including executive leadership, and need to possess skills such as strong organization, proactive governance, solution oriented, and effective verbal and visual communication skills. You will establish partnerships within the Product Organization, Partner Organizations and Stakeholders to foster trusting and productive relationships that lead to shared success and outcomes.
In this role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create and manage the assigned portfolio of projects within the Product Commercialization Process.
Exercise your understanding of the Product Life Cycle and the Product Commercialization Process (PCPr) by identifying potential process, workflow, orchestration, AI or automation improvements.
Communicate and collaborate across Portfolio and Product Management, Tech partners and stakeholder organizations to identify scope and requirement duplication or dependencies and improve each product’s time to market.
Partner with technology and business leaders from multiple Verizon teams (across the enterprise) in defining and evolving the priority of each program/project development increment.
Promote collaboration of scope, use cases, technical requirements, product design, and functional testing to ensure products and tech partners adhere to aligned scope, project sizing, approved budget and project timelines.
Ensure data integrity, data management and reporting, plus tracking of project dates and timelines.
Monitor program/project monthly capital spend across all technology organizations to minimize overspend.
Provide clear, consistent direction, pragmatic problem solving techniques as well as encouragement and constructive criticism.
Solve problems by digging into the details to determine root causes, quantifying impact, & pursuing impactful solutions.
Innovate and drive solutions that lead to greater efficiency, productivity, and experience through the Product Commercialization Process.
Maintain a thorough understanding of product roadmaps, deliverables, and project priorities to effectively guide, navigate, and support project & portfolio throughput and velocity, ensuring alignment with defined objectives.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience working in a Program and/or Project Management.
Knowledge of product or product life cycle management.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s in Business or Marketing.
A Master’s degree.
Three or more years of experience in Product, Operations, GTS or Business Strategy.
Experience & knowledge of Verizon Systems including: Clarity, JIRA, Google Suite, etc.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights in executive level format.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
Led cross-functional teams and aligned groups to a common goal.
Strong understanding of organizational objectives, functions and motivation.
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively
Basic understanding of key financial concepts relevant to Verizon business performance.
Firm understanding of the Verizon Business portfolio and solution capabilities.
Creative thinker.
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to work well with others.
Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
Experience utilizing AI tools and capabilities to execute, innovate, and deliver outcomes.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $98,500.00 - $188,000.00.
