Santander UK is looking for a Product Proposition Senior Manager based out of Milton Keynes.
This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of Santander's mortgage proposition. Reporting directly to the Head of Mortgage Trading, you will sit at the heart of one of the UK's largest mortgage businesses, responsible for developing and executing proposition, pricing and growth strategies that serve millions of customers whilst delivering strong commercial performance.
You'll combine commercial acumen, customer insight and strategic thinking to identify opportunities, influence senior stakeholders and drive change across pricing, proposition, customer journeys and digital adoption. Working in a fast-paced and highly visible environment, you'll help shape how Santander competes in a dynamic mortgage market, balancing customer outcomes, growth ambitions, risk appetite and shareholder returns.

Own the development and delivery of mortgage proposition and commercial initiatives that drive customer growth, market competitiveness and sustainable profitability.
Lead the creation of proposition, pricing and customer strategies informed by market trends, customer insight, competitor activity and performance analytics.
Identify and deliver opportunities to optimise portfolio performance, customer retention, digital adoption and customer experience.
Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for Executive and senior governance forums, influencing key commercial decisions.
Partner closely with teams across Finance, Risk, Distribution, Operations, Marketing, Data and Digital to deliver complex cross-functional initiatives.
Lead and coach a team of product and proposition specialists, creating a high-performance culture focused on innovation, customer outcomes and commercial delivery.
Monitor and manage proposition performance, ensuring customer, financial, regulatory and strategic objectives are achieved.
Act as a recognised subject matter expert for mortgage proposition and trading strategy, representing the function with senior stakeholders across Santander.

Professional Experience
Significant experience in product management, proposition management, trading, pricing, commercial strategy or portfolio management within financial services. (Required)
Proven track record of delivering commercial growth, customer outcomes and strategic change programmes in a regulated environment. (Required)
Experience developing and presenting recommendations, business cases and strategic proposals to senior stakeholders and executive audiences. (Required)
Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams. (Required)
Experience within mortgages, secured lending or retail banking products. (Preferred)
Education
Degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Mathematics or a related discipline. (Preferred)
Professional qualifications relating to Product Management, Marketing, Banking or Financial Services. (Preferred)
MBA, CIM qualification or other relevant advanced professional qualification. (Preferred)
Languages
English business communication skills, both written and verbal. (Required)
Hard Skills
Product proposition development, pricing strategy and commercial performance management. (Required)
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability, including interpretation of customer, financial and market data. (Required)
Business case development, financial analysis and executive-level presentation skills. (Required)
Mortgage market, lending products and balance sheet management knowledge. (Preferred)
Experience of digital product development, agile delivery or customer journey optimisation. (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£74,144.00 - £111,216.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
