Product R&D Manager

Salary: $30,000 – $45,000 per month
About the role
Join our product research and development team to shape rail transit solutions for Hong Kong and overseas markets. You will lead product planning, localisation, technical delivery and version iteration across professional streams including Integrated Monitoring, AFC, Vision AI, Platform Screen Doors and Industrial Inspection. Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate market needs, technical requirements and international standards into reliable, compliant and scalable products.
Key responsibilities
Plan product research and development for designated professional streams across Hong Kong and overseas markets.
Identify client market demands and technical requirements, including requirements related to international standards such as BS and EN standards.
Conduct demand analysis and technical assessments, formulate product research and development plans, and develop product prototypes.
Manage overseas product baselines and drive localised research and development covering user interfaces, operating workflows and multilingual support.
Complete product function design and verification in compliance with overseas standards.
Deliver multidisciplinary system integration technical solutions.
Lead research and development project scheduling, resource coordination and risk tracking.
Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams in technical development, prototype testing and issue closure.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and in line with compliance requirements.
Organise and document technical records, test specifications and technical experience generated during research and development.
Follow up on technical issues arising during product trial operation and lead technical reviews for product versions.
Continuously optimise product technical architecture and stability to support future product iteration and upgrades.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation or another relevant technical discipline.
At least 3 years of work experience in the rail transit industry.
At least 2 years of experience in product management or product research and development.
Strong capability in business presentations and client communications in English.
Fluency in Mandarin.
Experience in product planning, technical assessment, system integration, project coordination and product lifecycle management.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary research and development teams and manage technical issues through to closure.
