Product Safety Engineer

Job Description
Collaborate with compliance team, development and ODM on product
compliance based on safety and RF regulations. Interpret standards for
efficient execution of compliance process and plan. Handle the assignment
from the team across sample setup, installation and testing schedule with
certify bodies and CBTLs. An interface with designer and building block
owners on a regular basis to ensure materials qualification. In charge of
certification delivery to meet the global region demands for server and
wireless equipment.

Key Responsibility

• Compliance of products to International Standards (CE RED, FCC ID, UL, IEC etc.)
• Organize, execute and witness safety compliance testing of products in 3rd party

compliance certification labs. Prepare technical documents for agency submittal.
Work cross-functional to collect safety materials.

• Familiar with product safety requirements, CB and worldwide regulatory process

and marks.

• Co-work with internal team to set up testing sample hardware and

software/Firmware installation and system bring up.

• Assist and obtain homologation materials to ensure compliance to regulatory

standards such as CE RED Directive, FCC ID, country registration and importer
information etc. Engage with ODMs and 3rd party lab on homologation requirements
and schedules.

• Monitor and update test status, trouble shooting and defect analysis ability.

Establish, track defects and provide analysis report on test setup environment and
criteria vs design issues.
