About the Role: The Product Sales Specialist supports Central Moloney's sales process by reviewing and quoting customer requests using our internal quoting systems. This role works closely with engineering to evaluate requests and ensure accuracy before submitting bids for approval, then manages the process through purchase order receipt. The Product Sales Specialist may also support account management for assigned regions or key accounts. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that offers hands-on training as part of a small, collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and retain key details to prepare accurate, detailed quotations.
- Provide excellent customer service via email and phone communication.
- Navigate customer portals for online bids, purchase orders, and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering on transformer designs for purchase orders and blanket agreements.
- Maintain blanket orders, including updating quarterly escalations in AS400/Syteline as well as manually within the contract.
- Process purchase orders for system entry.
- Review terms and conditions of the spot quotes.
- Assist sales department with updates and responses to customer questions.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years prior sales support experience preferred.
- Ability to read and retain detailed information from sales contracts.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience with customer portals and order tracking systems.
- Customer service/relationship experience
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Strong communication skills with ability to compose formal responses to customers via letter writing and email.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Working Conditions:
Heated and air-conditioned office.
While this role is primarily office-based, it is located within a manufacturing facility, and the employee may occasionally be exposed to the production floor environment, including noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
