Product Specialist

Platform Architecture & Optimization: Lead the design, development, and optimization of the bulk SMS platform, ensuring it operates efficiently, scalably, and reliably. Drive improvements in system performance and SMS delivery.

· Technical Leadership: Showcase leadership in the development and execution of technical strategies to improve messaging throughput, reduce delivery latency, and optimize routing protocols.

· System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor and manage the health of the SMS platform, identifying and resolving any technical issues that may arise. Proactively prevent downtime, message delivery failures, and other performance bottlenecks.

· SMS Protocols & Integration: Work with internal teams and external partners to optimize integration points, supporting various SMS delivery protocols (e.g., SMPP, HTTP/S, and others) and ensuring smooth API integration with customer systems.

· Automation & Tooling: Design and build automation frameworks and tools to simplify deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes for SMS systems.

· Scalability & Reliability: Design and implement solutions to handle high message volumes efficiently while ensuring the platform's scalability. Focus on increasing the platform's fault tolerance and uptime.

· Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, and customer success teams to deliver impactful solutions, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business requirements.

· Compliance & Security: Ensure the SMS platform adheres to regulatory requirements, including GDPR, SMS opt-in/opt-out policies, data privacy, and security standards.

· Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with SMS aggregators, third-party service providers, and telecom partners. Collaborate on new initiatives, resolve any issues, and optimize routes for better delivery performance.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of SMS delivery protocols (SMPP, HTTP/S, etc.).

· Strong expertise in building, deploying, and optimizing large-scale communication platforms.

· Proficiency in system monitoring, automation, and performance tuning.

· Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and microservices architecture.

· Expertise in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or similar)

Experience with telecom industry standards and regulations, particularly in SMS messaging and mobile networks.

· Familiarity with large-scale cloud infrastructure and managing high availability.

· Experience in designing fault-tolerant systems and improving the efficiency of communication workflows.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and optimize messaging systems under high traffic conditions.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
