Summary

Tests and evaluates consumer electronics, toys, and smart devices, advises on quality improvements, and ensures compliance with EU regulations.

We are looking for a Product Specialist Electronics to support the development and quality of our consumer electronics, toys, and smart devices. In this role, you are responsible for testing products, assessing quality, and advising on improvements.

You work closely with Buying, Quality, and Compliance to ensure products meet the required standards and perform as expected. You stay up to date with market developments and contribute to improving both existing and new products.

You’ll be part of a fast-paced, product-driven environment where accuracy, ownership, and a practical mindset are key.

Your responsibilities:

  • Testing and comparing product samples and advising on improvements.

  • Checking specifications, material quality, soldering work, and battery performance.

  • Advising the purchasing team on technical product details and quality improvements.

  • Quickly adapting to new product developments and product introductions.

  • Monitoring trends in consumer electronics, toys, and smart devices, and sharing relevant market insights.

  • Ensuring accurate registration and coordination of incoming and outgoing samples.

  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of our product developments and collaborating with the Quality and Compliance department to assess the correct European regulations.

  • Providing support to the Buying team in developing new product ideas

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s level of thinking and working, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Product Development, or a similar technical field.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical or product-focused role within retail or consumer goods.

  • Affinity with consumer electronics, toys, smart devices, soldering techniques, and quality control.

  • Practical mindset with an accurate and analytical way of working.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, advisory attitude.

  • Familiarity with basic EU regulations related to non-food or consumer electronics is a plus, or willingness to learn.

  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.

  • Based in (the Amsterdam area) and able to work at least 80% from the office.
