Product Support Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Support Coordinator serves as a key link between external sales and customers and internal teams, including Product, Supply Chain, and Marketing. With a strong understanding of Messenger and Jobline products, this role provides solutions that support customer, sales, merchandising, and convention needs.
This position works closely with internal departments and external partners and requires strong organization, coordination, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is committed to growing with Messenger and becoming a valued part of the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides Timely Product Solutions - Research industry trends, customer preferences, and sales performance to identify and develop product solutions. Work with Sales and Customer Service Representatives to understand product needs, then quickly source and negotiate products with third-party suppliers. For internally produced products, help keep the development process on track so milestones are met and products are ready for market on schedule.
- Support for Merchandising and Marketing – Provide product solutions and support for merchandising needs, along with support for marketing through convention and event organization.
- Maintains Vendor and Manufacturing Relationships – Maintain a good working relationship with internal Operations and external Third-Party Suppliers, with an understanding of the full product solutions available. Issue purchase orders to third party suppliers, actively searches for order feedback resolution, maintain supplier cost information and price tables.
- Vendor and Product Set Up – For third party suppliers, negotiate costs and completes vendor and part set up when necessary. For internally produced products, adjust design and product specifications for optimal perceived value and assist in product set up by verifying that product specifications, features and benefits are correct on all documentation.
- Completes Ordering, Reporting, Pricing, Invoicing and Billing – Assists Sales and Customer Representatives with order entry. Ensures accurate pricing and cost tables are maintained. Perform reconciliation, invoicing and billing for third party orders. Help to establish fair but competitive pricing for internal products and helps to maintain product pricing, aids with specific pricing projects and the annual price increase.
- Communicates and Maintains Accurate Product Information – Maintain and share product details with all sales, service, and customer channels to facilitate understanding and highlight the key features and benefits of the product. Maintain product information and details in all Messenger systems.
- Helps to create new processes and procedures to improve the flow of future projects.
- Cross Train in other departments and performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or similar discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
- 0-2+ years of experience in product management, marketing, supply chain or similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

- Skilled with general office machines: fax, multi-line phone systems, copiers, scanners, and printers.
- Ability to develop working knowledge of all Messenger systems (i.e., Sage, MIP, websites, customer service interface).
