About the Role

Responsible for providing exceptional product support to MEI’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front line, first level, technical assistance for customers
  • Supporting client specific custom elevator technical support while delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Resolve technical problems, within a fast paced, customer facing environment
  • Supporting customer needs related to complete elevator systems including troubleshooting, triage, and replacement parts
  • Develop and demonstrate advanced product knowledge and the ability to solve customer issues
  • Resolve customer issues on the first call as frequently as possible
  • Open and manage callback cases for user issues
  • Be patient, courteous and friendly with customers always
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude.

Experience

· 5+ yrs. experience working within the elevator industry (or similar)

· Technical/Community College Education is a plus (not required)

· Knowledge of Engineering Software is a plus (not required) – AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor

· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Skills

· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics

· Strong analytical skills, good mechanical aptitude and have above average computer skills

· Resourceful, problem-solver, able to prioritize and multitask

· Detail oriented and organized

· Able to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humor

· Team player with a positive attitude

· Self-motivated and work independently with minimum supervision

· Unshakeable integrity

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment is required. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds may be required.
