Summary

Assists production staff with live and recorded broadcasts, including script compilation, studio setup, and multimedia content preparation for radio and TV in a government media agency.

International Multimedia Journalist -- I

Primary responsibilities:

 Assist production staff with preparation for live and recorded broadcasts.

 Help compile scripts, production notes, guest information, and program materials.

 Support studio setup and prepare production areas prior to broadcasts.

 Coordinate basic communication between production personnel, guests, and talent.

 Escort guests and assist with check-in and studio logistics.

 Monitor production schedules and help ensure materials are available when needed.

 Assist with gathering video clips, graphics, and other production elements.

 Perform research and fact-gathering to support program development.

 Assists in the preparation of production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including simple editing of voiceover and soundcuts from taped material, as assigned

 Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed

 Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines

 Works as a member of a team

 Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management system

 Trains as a multimedia journalist (video, audio, editing)

 Trains on the use of technical equipment

 Other related duties as assigned
