Summary

Coordinates daily production schedules, verifies customer orders, and manages subcontractor workflows for a metal finishing company using the DNAsp system.

1) Coordinate daily production planning and scheduling to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders

2) Verify customer parts and quantities against Purchase Orders or delivery documentation and acknowledge acceptance

3) Assist in generating Process Control Cards (PCC) using the DNAsp system

4) Ensure Production Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD) are accurately updated

5) Confirm that all process requirements are correctly specified on the PCC prior to release for incoming inspection

6) Identify discrepancies and seek clarification from customers when necessary, including:

  • Part information (Part Number, Serial Number, Job Number, Quantity, etc)
  • Incorrect process work scope
  • Incorrect certification requirements

7) Monitor parts status in DNAsp and discusses with Production to ensure delivery schedules are met

8) Assist the Production Control Executive in communicating with customers and proposing alternate turnaround times (TAT) or delivery dates if the original TAT is not met

9) Assist in generating Delivery Orders for processed parts and arrange for parts delivery to customers

10) Assist in issuing Purchase Orders to subcontractors and ensure all relevant documentation is attached

11) Coordinate with subcontractors for parts collection and make necessary arrangments for delivery of parts to them

12) Liaise with subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to schedule

13) Ensure subcontractor’s Certificate of Conformance (COC) and/or Inspection Report are attached with the parts upon job completion

14) Assume the responsibilities of the Production Control Executive in their absence

15) Perform any additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, Professional Certificate, or NiTEC
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in manufacturing or production control environment
  • Mechanical industry background preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
