Production Coordinator

Media Group is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Print Production
Coordinator with magazine print production experience to join its team based in
Dubai supporting the Business and Consumer departments.
The Print Production Coordinator will manage the end-to-end
magazine print production process, ensuring each issue meets the highest
quality standards and achieves timely delivery to retail. This role entails
close collaboration with editorial, commercial, and design teams, overseeing
content and advertising requirements, production schedules, and coordinating
with printers and vendors to ensure flawless execution and operational
efficiency.
Requirements
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently collaborate with editorial, commercial, and design
teams to ensure timely delivery of publications while maintaining the highest
quality standards.
- Coordinate end-to-end magazine print production workflows across
pre-press, press, and post-press to ensure timely and accurate publication.
- Prepare and validate print-ready files, conducting pre-flight
checks to ensure compliance with magazine specifications and printer
requirements.
- Ensure
compliance with brand guidelines while reviewing editorial layouts, commercial
advertisements, and special operation materials, addressing pagination,
formatting, and overall print quality to meet publication standards.
- Perform comprehensive production quality inspections, including
prepress validation, colour accuracy and profiling, registration precision, and
binding integrity.
- Manage and track issue-based production schedules, maintaining flat
plans and production trackers to ensure clear visibility across teams.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (editorial, design, commercial)
and external printers and vendors to ensure smooth communication and execution.
- Support peak magazine production cycles and press deadlines,
including flexibility to work shifts and extended hours during closing periods.
SKILLS
& REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency
in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) and MS
Office.
- Solid
understanding of magazine print production workflows from pre-press to
post-press, with in-depth knowledge of signatures and assembly processes.
- Knowledge
of colour management, proofing standards, and print quality control.
- Well-versed in paper stocks,
binding methods, and finishing processes, with practical knowledge of their
impact on print quality, durability, and overall magazine production standards.
- Knowledge
of catalogue production using XML big data in Adobe InDesign to automate page
creation and layout.
- Excellent
communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with editorial,
design, and commercial teams.
- Ability
to multitask and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- Keen
attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality production
standards.
- Basic
designing skills are an added advantage
- Ability
to work flexible shift Monday to Friday 11am-8pm / 12pm-9pm and extended hours as
needed.
ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Printing Technology or related disciplines is
required.
- 3–5 years of experience in print production or a publishing
environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign; working knowledge of Photoshop,
Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro.
