Production Department Manager - Windsor Windows

Employment Type: Salaried Exempt FT
Work Environment: Monday – Friday. Onsite manufacturing and office environment.

Job Summary:
The Department Manager is responsible for leading and directing manufacturing operations within assigned production areas to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role oversees daily operations, develops and coaches employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures production goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities: Manufacturing Operations Leadership
• Plan, organize, and direct daily manufacturing activities within assigned departments.
• Monitor production schedules and workforce performance to ensure production goals and delivery commitments are met.
• Analyze production results and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Provide accurate daily and weekly operational reports, including production performance and variance analysis.
• Partner with leadership to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Employee Leadership & Development
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development opportunities for employees.
• Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for results.
• Foster a positive team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support effective communication throughout the department and across functional teams.

Safety & Compliance
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the department.
• Ensure all employees are trained on safety procedures, work practices, and safe operating methods.
• Enforce company policies and procedures consistently and effectively.
• Identify and address safety concerns, hazardous conditions, and unsafe work practices promptly.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and compliance with all company requirements.

Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts throughout manufacturing operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
• Support implementation of best practices and standardized work methodologies.
• Ensure processes are documented and employees are properly trained on procedures and expectations.

Requirements:
• Proven leadership, team-building, and employee development skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Demands:
This position is required to work onsite at one of our manufacturing facilities. The work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor settings. Regular walking, standing, and exposure to manufacturing conditions are required. This is NOT a remote position.
