Job Duties
Packaging Design & Dieline Execution
- Create and finalize production-ready packaging artwork and dielines across primary and secondary packaging formats, ensuring structural accuracy and print-readiness for global manufacturing partners.
- Develop and maintain packaging files for a high volume of SKUs across multiple brand families, applying each brand’s design language system (DLS) with precision and consistency.
- Execute new packaging designs and on-pack graphic treatments for NPI launches under the direction of the Graphic Designer Lead, Packaging and Creative Manager.
- Build and manage dieline templates and master artwork files that support efficient versioning and scalable production across product lines.
- Prepare and preflight press-ready files, ensuring compliance with print specifications, substrate requirements, color standards, and regional regulatory guidelines.
Revisions, Versioning & SKU Management
- Execute packaging revisions and updates including engineering-driven changes, regulatory copy updates, barcode and UPC modifications, and brand refresh rollouts across existing SKU libraries.
- Manage name plate, cliché, and label versioning across our house of brands, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout each iteration.
- Support the Private Label program by producing and adapting artwork for dealer and distributor partners, including HVAC and security channel customers, with attention to brand compliance and partner specifications.
- Maintain organized, version-controlled file libraries across all active packaging projects, ensuring assets are properly archived and accessible to global team members.
- Manage simultaneous packaging revisions across a large SKU portfolio, prioritizing workload in alignment with NPI timelines and launch milestones established by the US-based team.
Global Collaboration & Brand Compliance
- Work in close daily collaboration with packaging leads and creative managers based in the US, maintaining clear communication on project status, file handoffs, and revision cycles across time zones.
- Apply brand design language systems with exacting standards, ensuring that all packaging output across brands, regions, and formats meet established visual and technical guidelines.
- Coordinate with print vendors, packaging suppliers, and prepress partners globally to resolve production file requirements, color proofing questions, and manufacturing specifications.
- Support packaging transitions and rebranding initiatives as directed by design leadership.
You must have
- 2–6 years of experience in packaging graphic design or production design, ideally within a consumer products, electronics, or multi-brand environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, with a strong command of packaging-specific production workflows.
- Solid understanding of packaging dieline construction, print production processes, prepress requirements, color management (Pantone, CMYK), and substrate considerations.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of SKUs and simultaneous revision workstreams with precision, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Experience working within structured brand design language systems and applying brand guidelines consistently across a large and diverse product portfolio.
- Strong attention to detail and quality you catch the small things before they become expensive press mistakes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in an English-language, cross-cultural, globally distributed team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities with limited oversight in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
We Value
- Experience supporting packaging production for North American and/or EMEA markets, including familiarity with regional regulatory and labeling requirements.
- Experience with Private Label packaging programs or retailer/distributor co-brand packaging.
- Working knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP platforms used in packaging release workflows.
- Familiarity with Adobe Workfront project management tool preferred.
- Experience working in an offshore or globally distributed creative services model, collaborating with onshore design leads across multiple time zones.
- Portfolio demonstrating production-ready packaging work across a range of formats, brands, and product categories.
