Production Director

For our client, a well-established and rapidly growing company in fruits and vegetables processing industry, we are seeking an experienced and ambitious professional for the position of:

Production Director

Location: Western Serbia – Mačva District

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and optimizing production operations;
• Developing, implementing, and adjusting daily and weekly production plans;
• Managing production disruptions and technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity;
• Leading and supervising production teams, setting performance targets, and ensuring their achievement;
• Optimizing workforce allocation across production lines to maximize efficiency and productivity;
• Mentoring supervisors, supporting conflict resolution, and ensuring workplace discipline;
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of production technologists;
• Monitoring and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), production efficiency, and material yield;
• Analyzing production performance and preparing daily and shift reports for management;
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, CIP procedures, and corporate quality standards;
• Overseeing Critical Control Points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs (oPRPs) in accordance with applicable food safety standards;
• Contributing to internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety requirements.

Requirements:

• University degree in Food Technology, Process Engineering, Operational Management or similar field;
• At least 10 years of experience in food industry, including 5 years in manufacturing leadership/managerial role;
• Strong understanding of production processes and needs to understand food industry;
• Knowledge of IQF and cold storage management would be treated as an asset;
• Experience managing a large team;
• Excellent knowledge of Lean tools, downtime management, manufacturing metrics, and yield management;
• Understanding of production standards, ergonomics, and production hygiene;
• Organising and conducting daily stand-up meetings;
• Professional proficiency in English (technical communication);
• Good command of general IT/ERP systems;
• Category B driving license.
