Production Engineer

As Production Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate production data, ensuring BOMs and data packs are correct, supporting engineering change implementation, and helping internal teams and contract manufacturers execute production successfully.

You will act as a key link between production, testing, suppliers, and contract manufacturers, ensuring issues are identified early, resolved properly, and prevented from recurring.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and controlled production data, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and production data packs.
  • Ensure production inputs are complete, validated, and released on time.
  • Support contract manufacturers, internal production teams, and testing teams with production-related queries and issues.
  • Troubleshoot BOM discrepancies, documentation gaps, and build inconsistencies.
  • Drive implementation of engineering changes into production, including updates to BOMs, assembly guides, and data packs.
  • Maintain strict version control and traceability across production documentation.
  • Create and improve clear, visual, step-by-step assembly guides.
  • Support production readiness by ensuring each production run is fully defined, documented, and aligned across ERP/MRP, testing, and contract manufacturers.
  • Maintain and optimize quality control checklists and systems.
  • Visit contract manufacturers where required to support process optimization and quality control.
  • Assist with process improvement, workflow standardization, automation, dashboards, and basic production tooling or jig design.

Requirements

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 0 to 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer.
  • 0 to 3 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as DEAR, Cin7, or similar would be advantageous.
  • Strong documentation and data structuring ability.
  • Ability to interpret engineering data and translate it into production-ready formats.
  • Understanding of BOM structures, product configuration control, and engineering change processes.
  • Basic CAD capability, such as Fusion 360, would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, automation, or AI-driven process improvement would be advantageous.
  • Electronics manufacturing or assembly experience would be preferred but is not essential.
