Pinta Dairy is Pāmu’s largest dairy operation, milking around 2,200 cows across 877 hectares.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Dairy Production Manager (2IC) at Pinta Dairy, you’ll work closely with the Farm Manager to help lead the day-to-day running of the farm.
This is a hands-on role where you could be involved in areas such as milking, animal health, pasture and feed management, calving, calf rearing, effluent management, farm presentation, and health and safety.
You may also help coach the team, take part in meetings, keep good records, and step up when the Farm Manager is away. Just as importantly, you’ll help maintain a positive, collaborative team culture.

You might already be in a 2IC or Production Manager role, or you may be ready for that next step.
You’ll bring:
- Good dairy farming experience, including milking, animal health, pasture management, and calving
- A calm, practical approach and the confidence to help guide others
- A strong focus on animal care, health and safety, and doing the job well
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Confidence using farm records and systems, or a willingness to learn
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys supporting others, and wants to keep building your skills in dairy farm leadership.
THE PĀMU FARM
Pinta Dairy Unit is Pāmu’s largest dairy operation, milking around 2,100 cows across 877 hectares. The farm is supported by an upgraded 80-bail rotary dairy shed and makes use of Halter technology to enable modern, efficient farm management.
