Production Manager
Do you enjoy bringing out the best in people, keeping production on track and tackling the occasional curveball? Then you might be the Production Manager we're looking for.
At Aasted, we are looking for a Production Manager to lead our Combined Lines Solutions production department. You will take responsibility for a team of more than 40 employees and play an important role in creating a workplace where people thrive, work together and deliver high-quality solutions to customers around the world.
About the role
As our new Production Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations, performance and development of the Combined Lines Solutions production department.
Your most important responsibility will be leading and developing your team. Through clear communication, involvement and hands-on leadership, you will create the structure and motivation needed for employees to succeed.
You will report to the Head of Value Stream and work closely with 4 other competent Production Managers to ensure efficient production and timely deliveries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of more than 40 production employees, with a strong focus on wellbeing, collaboration and performance.
- Ensure efficient daily production operations, including resource allocation, capacity planning and delivery performance.
- Work closely with the department's Planner to coordinate production schedules, priorities and resources.
- Monitor production performance, quality, costs and relevant KPIs, and take action when improvements are needed.
- Drive continuous improvements through structured processes, Lean principles and 5S initiatives.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.
- Manage the department's production budget and contribute to efficient use of resources.
- Strengthen collaboration across production departments and other functions to ensure a smooth production flow.
About you
We're looking for someone who knows their way around a production floor, enjoys working with people and understands that great results don't happen on their own.
You enjoy being close to the daily operations, supporting your employees and creating an environment where everyone understands their responsibilities and works towards common goals. You are comfortable making decisions, setting priorities and maintaining an overview, even when plans change.
You bring structure to a busy production environment and have the confidence to challenge existing ways of working when improvements are needed.
We imagine that you:
- Have several years of management experience from a technical or industrial production environment.
- You may have a technical education or have learned your way through years of hands-on experience. What matters most is that you know production and how to lead people.
- Have a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop production teams.
- Understand production planning, capacity management and operational performance.
- Have experience with continuous improvement, preferably Lean and 5S.
- Are comfortable working with production data, KPIs and ERP systems.
- Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across different teams and departments.
Above all, you are a leader who takes an interest in people, leads by example and takes pride in seeing your team succeed.
