Production Manager

Airobotics develops autonomous drone platforms designed for mission-critical industrial use. Our systems operate continuously, autonomously, and safely — combining aerospace-grade hardware with AI-based autonomy, sensing, and operational reliability.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the company’s full production activities, across both internal production lines and subcontracted manufacturing. This leader will be responsible for ensuring that all production operations function effectively and deliver the company’s products on time and at the required quality level. The Director of Production will also play a key role in transforming engineering designs, prototypes, and development-stage configurations into products with stable, measurable, and repeatable production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s production activities, including in-house production lines and subcontracted manufacturing.
• Own production execution and delivery across the company’s different products and production programs.
• Ensure production operations meet required timelines, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
• Manage, monitor, and improve the performance of internal production teams and external production lines.
• Support the transition of products from development into production, including production readiness, build processes, documentation, testing, and configuration control.
• Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure production execution is aligned with the approved supply plan, material availability, and delivery priorities.
• Act as the central execution owner for production, identifying gaps, removing blockers, and driving cross-functional alignment.
• Establish production routines, performance tracking, reporting methods, and escalation processes for both internal and external production activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in production stability, throughput, quality, transparency, and operational predictability.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience managing production in a technology company developing multi-disciplinary systems.
• 5+ years experience leading the production of complex products involving hardware, electronics, mechanics, integration, and testing.
• Proven experience scaling a company from early-stage / startup phases into high-volume production.
• Experience managing subcontracted production with local and international contract manufacturers.
• Experience transitioning products from development into production, including NPI processes, production processes, production documentation, quality, and configuration control.
• High management capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, experience leading managers, and ability to operate in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Ability to dive into technical details, provide creative solutions, and maintain a broad operational and systems-level perspective.
• Strong organizational commitment and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Fluent English — speaking, reading, and writing.
