Production Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing business as a Production Manager for a new facility in Monterrey, Mexico. The role is responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous management of manufacturing processes to achieve excellence in productivity, quality, safety, cost, delivery, and people management. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will work closely with the Monterrey team to support the implementation of new technologies, equipment, and processes. The role ensures compliance with safety and efficiency standards and the proper documentation of procedures.

This position is eligible only for Mexican payroll.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, product assembly, and process improvement.
  • Proven project management skills and technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership in people development, strategic planning, risk management, and mitigation.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; SAP experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the start-up of manufacturing processes in a new facility, serving as an expert and trainer on products, processes, and equipment.
  • Oversee production operations, including sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing, ensuring adherence to productivity, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Drive plant safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards, including behavior-based safety programs.
  • Promote and implement continuous improvement programs in areas such as lean manufacturing, quality, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage financial justifications and implementation of new technologies, equipment, and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, and other company sites to align systems, develop new products, and implement best practices.
  • Develop strong leadership teams and foster cross-training to create a high-performance workforce.
  • Oversee and address facility maintenance issues in coordination with the Plant Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, national, and company standards, laws, and procedures.
  • Promote cost reduction efforts through efficient use of labor, materials, and operational resources.
