Would you like to lead operational excellence in a benchmark company within the Spanish food sector? At Grupo Empresarial Palacios Alimentación, we are looking to hire a Production Manager for our plant in Ólvega. Palacios is synonymous with innovation, quality, and diversification, with over 60 years of experience and a wide range of products spanning from cold cuts to prepared meals and pastry.
As Production Manager, you will have maximum responsibility for the planning, coordination, and optimization of all production processes in the factory, under the plant management. Your mission will be to ensure compliance with production plans, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality, food safety, and risk prevention, driving efficiency through Lean methodologies.
What you'll do
In this position, you will lead...
The management, motivation, and development of a team of between 100 and 150 people, promoting a positive working climate and organizing work in a shift-based production environment. You will supervise and control industrial processes and plant machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. You will implement and deploy Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen, OEE) to increase efficiency and reduce costs. You will ensure strict compliance with the Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) culture and Food Safety regulations (IFS, BRC, HACCP). You will coordinate with the logistics, quality, and maintenance departments to meet delivery deadlines and established service levels.
What we're looking for
Education: Higher university degree, preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Food Science, Chemical, or related).
Experience: At least 5 years in management roles in production plants within the food sector.
Leadership: Demonstrable experience in the management and leadership of large teams (more than 100 people).
Availability: Accustomed to working in industrial environments with shift organization.
Technical competencies: Solid knowledge of industrial process machinery, basic/technical maintenance, and the practical application of Lean Manufacturing systems.
